Hello! I'm Ernesto, a Mexican freelance graphic designer and 3D artist based in Madrid with over 10 years of experience specializing in the music industry.
I began experimenting with design around 2007, when Paint Shop Pro seemed like a cheaper and less intimidating alternative to Photoshop for a boy at 13. After discovering online forums dedicated to pop culture and design, I became fascinated by the way graphic design could capture and expand an artist’s creative vision. Hello! I'm Ernesto, a Mexican freelance graphic designer and 3D artist based in Madrid with over 10 years of experience specializing in the music industry.
I began experimenting with design around 2007, when Paint Shop Pro seemed like a cheaper and less intimidating alternative to Photoshop for a boy at 13. After discovering online forums dedicated to pop culture and design, I became fascinated by the way graphic design could capture and expand an artist’s creative vision. I taught myself the basics and started making fan art for every and any artist I was listening to at the time.
Music and design quickly became my biggest passions, so when it was time to go to university it was clear this was the right path for me. I graduated with a degree in Information Design from the UDLAP in Puebla, Mexico, and went on to explore different areas of design. During this time I started pitching myself to small artists in my spare time to get a real grasp on the music industry and begin building the portfolio that would eventually allow me to turn that passion into a career.
I created ElectricBlue as a way to establish my own space in the music industry. Today, my approach to design continues to be shaped by a lifelong love of pop culture and my upbringing during the early 2000s.
